The Vines at Lions Peak Vineyards were first planted in 1971. The mature old vines on their own varietal rootstock produce wines with remarkable depth of character and complexity.
The South facing, sun exposed hillsides have gravelly soil with excellent drainage. The morning fog invigorates the vines while the long, sunny afternoons ripen the berries to their optimum.
The perfect balance of growing conditions yields premium fruit for Lions Peak’s 100% Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Proprietor’s Reserve, and Bordeaux styled red wines. Full bodied with perfect balance and individuality is the hallmark of Lions Peak wines.
